Getting Close

I hope everyone got my email last week! We are getting closer to the deposit due date and our first meeting for our trip!!! Remember, that meeting and your $100 deposit is due February 10th. 

Don't forget to get started on your fundraising by sending out your letters NOW!! We will talk more about some opportunities you will have between now and the trip to raise additional money. 

Also, begin getting your shots and passports now as well!!! Please don't let this stuff pass you by! It's important to get this started now!!

Vaccination Prices

If you were wondering about vaccinations and prices for Kenya, here a list from the Washington County Health Clinic as of Wednesday, December 5th.

MMR- $58
One adult booster for life. Live virus. Must be taken at least one month apart from Yellow Fever.

TDAP- $42

One adult booster or TD $27 One adult booster (no pertussis) for life

Hepatitis A- $30

Series of 2 (done over 6 months)

Hepatitis B- $38
Series of 3 (done over 6 months)

Hep A/B Combo- $55
Series of 3 (done over 1 month or 6 months)

Typhoid- $62
Good for two years

Polio- $32
One shot good for life

Yellow Fever- $95
Good for 10 years (live virus)

Must be spaced at least one month from MMR

Meningococcal 

Over 55- $113 (good for life) 

2-55- $88 (need booster in 5-10 years)

 
Washington County charges $5 one time consult fee. 

 

They are also going to begin filing insurance in April 2013.

Also, Sellersburg Post office requires passports appointments. New Albany does not.
